Ing. Mgr. Miroslav Zajíček, MA

Miroslav Zajíček graduated at the Faculty of International Relations of the University of Economics (1998; major: International Trade, minor at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting: Finance and Banking), University of Chicago (2000; Social Sciences Division, Department of Economics, major: Economics), Law Faculty of the Charles University (2004, major: Law). Other research fellowships: SRH Hochschule Heidelberg (1995), Liberal institute (1996), IHS/IES Summer School - Oxford (1998), Mises Institute (2004), Foundation of Economic Education (2005, 2007), PERC (2006), CATO (2007), IFREE/ESI Chapman University (2009).

At present he is a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Public Relations at the University of Economics in Prague, where he is a member of the Department of Economics. In the past he also worked for the Department of Economic and Social Policy and for the Department of Economic History. Subjects currently taught: Basics of Experimental Economics. Subjects taught in the past: Industrial Organization, Macroeconomic Analysis, chicago School of Economics. He is the guaranteeorganizor and supervisor of the course "Selected Chapters in Experimental Economics".

Mr. Zajíček is also a member of the Department of European Economic Integration and Economic Policy at the IES at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Charles University. Courses currently taught: Industrial Organization, Advanced Economic Policy.

He is also a member of the Advisory Committe of the Chairman of the Energy Regulatory Office (Czech independent regulatory body for energy markets).

Apart from his scientific and research activities, he publishes in popular media as well – a link to the list of most of his articles here (in Czech only).

Miroslav Zajíček worked as a Project Manager and a Senior Research Fellow for the Liberal Institute between 1999 and 2005. He specialized primarily in deregulation of electricity markets, the gas industry, heating industry and telecommunication markets.
