Vernon Lomax Smith was awarded the 2002 Noble Prize in Economics for development of experimental economics. Daniel Kahneman was awarded along with Vernon Smith. Vernon Smith visited the Czech Republic in February 2010 upon an invitation from the Liberalní Institute and the Laboratory of Experimental Economics. He presented a research paper during his seminar at CERGE-EI (the presentation is available here) on February 25th, 2010. On February 26th, 2010, on the occasion of being awarded by the Liberalní Institute Annual Award he presented a lecture called “Mortgage Market Bubbles that Engulf Economies”.
